This policy explains how OCTOPUS ADVERTISING SRL collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit theoctopus.ro.

2. What data we collect
- Data you send through the contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and message.
- Technical data collected automatically by the server for security and operation: IP address, browser type, requested pages and time of the request.
- Statistics on how the site is used (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To answer your message and prepare an offer: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and your consent given in the form (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To measure visits with Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in the cookie settings.
- To meet legal obligations, for example accounting: Art. 6(1)(c).
4. The contact form
Messages sent through the form are delivered by email to our team. The website also saves a copy in its database (with the Flamingo plugin), so no request gets lost if an email does not arrive. These copies are deleted automatically after 24 months, and messages marked as spam after 30 days. We keep the emails for as long as we need them to handle your request and any project that follows, and delete them afterwards unless the law requires us to keep them.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., to see how visitors use the site. It only runs after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
6. Other services on the site
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is sent to Google.
- The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) only when you click it.
- Some pages show embedded YouTube videos. YouTube only loads when you start the video.
7. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the providers that host the website and our email, with Google for the services above, and with authorities when the law requires it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to its processing or ask us to restrict it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
